Chuck Sheldon — A Life in Motion

Faith. Family. Service. Adventure.

Wesley Charles Sheldon, known to friends as Chuck, the Chuckmeister, or simply “Hey You,” was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on November 14, 1950. From a childhood shaped by family and faith to a career dedicated to public service, his life has been about showing up, doing the work, and making every mile count.

He married Sherry in 1971, and together they built a family of three children and seven grandchildren - a legacy far more meaningful than any title or achievement.

Chuck's 38-year career with the Houston Police Department culminated in retirement as a Deputy Administrator/Lieutenant in 2007. Along the way, 19 years with the HPD Bicycle Team took him thousands of miles across all 50 states and eight Canadian provinces, raising support for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Faith has been Chuck's compass since accepting Christ at age 11. Through decades of church life, service, and ten international mission trips, he has continued learning what it means to live for something greater than himself.

Chuck's motto: Keep the faith. Love your people. Serve with purpose. Keep pedaling. Never quit living.

Life isn't measured only by the miles behind us, but by the lives we touch along the way.
