Dinner & Crighton Theatre Show - "The Little Mermaid"

Join us on Saturday, July 15, 5:30 PM Dinner at Pacific Yard House Restaurant and “The Little Mermaid” show at the Crighton Theatre in Conroe. Seating for the show is available at 7:00pm. We have 20 tickets available for reserved seating (must pay by June 30) at $19/ticket. Carpooling from the church can be arranged through Joy Powell ([email protected]) before July 12. Pacific Yard House is 1 block from the Crighton Theatre, located at 234 N. Main Street in Conroe.

Special Event: Mark your calendar for Monday, October 9th from 6:45-8:45 PM in Classroom #1. Join Gerald and Sharon Mounce for this information-packed class as they share FIRST LOOKS of Medicare plans and trends for 2024!  They'll also examine the differences between Original Medicare, Medicare Supplements, Medicare Advantage Plans, PPOs, and HMOs.  Which is right for you? How does it work with your employer's insurance? Win a door prize and take-home giveaways, compliments of several of their insurance carriers. Invite anyone that may be interested in this helpful class! 
 
Ongoing Class: Join Gerald & Sharon Mounce the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 6:00 pm in Classroom 1 for fun and informative conversations about Medicare benefits! They will inform and educate about the options available to Seniors 65 and older, those turning 65 and planning to transition from company benefits and anyone with family members in need of guidance.

Grandparenting from a Christian Perspective

The most valuable legacy we can leave is our spiritual legacy of faith in Jesus Christ. Grandparents have an incredible opportunity to create a legacy of faith in their grandchildren and generations to follow and at the same time receive years of great fun (yes, some of it very tiring!). What does God’s Word teach about family heritage? What are the responsibilities and benefits of grandparenting from a Christian perspective?

Join Renee and Jim Trevathan for a two-part class filled with experiences and ideas on navigating the joys and challenges of grandparenting under the Lord’s leading. The Trevathans are well-equipped in this area, having ten grandkids of their own ranging in age from 4 to 16 years, from their three adult kids who are in their late thirties and early forties. Renee and Jim have a tremendous wealth of stories and support for anyone walking through their grandparenting years.

Get Ready – Be Ready Seminar with Susie Wolf

Susie Wolf, a local expert with specialized training in crisis preparedness, will present a comprehensive session you won't want to miss! The seminar is open to all Grace members and the community. 

Due to the importance and timeliness of the topic, Grace is making this class a special presentation as part of the Faith Votes/We The People Community Impact Team Meeting on Saturday, July 13, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the Student Center. There will also be a Q&A session with Susie Wolf after the meeting.

ABOUT PASTOR MIKE
Mike and Liz Hooper have dedicated their lives to full-time ministry since 1985. With a wealth of experience, they have served as lead pastors in churches in Oregon, Washington, and California. From 2005 to October 2017, they were part of the executive pastoral team at Grace Community Church before assuming the role of senior pastors at Church on the Lake in Livingston, Texas.  In addition to their pastoral work, Mike took on the role of Director of Prayer at KSBJ, the top Christian radio station in America, in June 2014. Under his leadership, KSBJ's prayer team grew to over 9,000 members and initiated the "One Church One Day" movement, a 24-hour prayer endeavor involving over 100 participating churches in three Houston areas. Their vision is to expand this movement to encompass every community in the Greater Houston area, serving a population of 600,000 people. Mike and Liz also serve on the Board of Directors for Grace International since 2019. They have held positions as District Superintendents in Northern California (2000-2005) and Texas (2006-2014, 2019-present) and have been members of the International Ministries Board of Grace International since 1993. With a strong and enduring marriage, Mike and Liz have been happily married for over 43 years. They are blessed with two grown children and eight grandchildren; cherishing their family is an important aspect of their lives.
